1.1 Purpose

It is Used to upload on CDMS for data retrieval for coverages and orderload and SELL IN reports.

• This Process will be the framework which will be followed for example for all the example and track the changes in the interval summary

1.3 Business / Segment Overview

The AP Data process supports Lenovo India by providing accurate and timely order, billing, and shipment data for key reports such as Coverage, Orderload, and Sell-In. The data is cleaned, validated, and standardized by correcting customer segments, business models, sub-segments, and product portfolios. MTM mapping and SAP validations ensure product and billing accuracy before final upload. Once processed, the data is loaded into CDMS and used to refresh downstream dashboards and QlikView reports. Overall, the process ensures reliable visibility of business performance across Consumer, Commercial, and SMB segments.

1.13 Steps of Procedure

A. Data Download

• Go to CoData (https://codata.lenovo.com/fe/#/login?hash=/homePage) in internet browser
• Enter "User Name” and "Password"
• Click on AP IO-PCSD Order Detail
• Then, click on AP Order Detail
• Check refresh date as yesterday’s date and number of lines
• Check Order Date should be till yesterday
• Check Billing Date should be till yesterday
• Right click on data and select Download As
• Click on Data option – it will open in Excel Workbook
• Open the AP Data Dump File
• Search for customer type column and change the column name to Customer Type from customer type()
• Go to segment column, select NCS and then in sub-segment column select small market and change NCS in Segment to SMB and remove filters
• Select NCS again and if sub-segment is blank change it to consumer
• Insert a column before segment, select Consumer in segment and in the inserted column tag to consumer
• Select REL and SMB in segment column and in inserted column tag them to Commercial
• Change inserted column header to segment, segment header to business model and sub-segment() to sub-segment
• In portfolio column search for Lenovo 100e series and change them to CON from SMB
• Search for Lenovo Legion Y500 series and select Mid market in Sub-segment and change from SMB to CON
• Apply filters, search for billing number column, select blanks and in data type column select ships
• Search for sales number column, copy the column and paste in new sheet and remove duplicates
• Open SAP and use T code ZSDDBLBLR01
• Paste the sales number data in SO number column, spool and extract the data in xxl format
• Search for billing doc date column and insert a column next to it
• Map from the SAP extracted data using SO Number, break links
• If there are #N/A replace it with –
• Copy the data from inserted column to billing doc date column, delete the inserted column and paste as values
• Save the dump file as AP Data Dump Q1[present quarter] 2526[present year] May-28[present month-date]
• Open AP data Macro file, delete all the data
• Copy whole data from AP data dump and paste it in AP data macro and run macro using ALT+F8
• Select Run
• Remove "-" from all columns containing dates
• Change ROL Quarter column as Current Quarter-Year (e.g., Q1-2025)
• Change the format of cost-related fields to Number Format
• Delete columns after Ship to City till before Storage location, and delete columns after Storage location
• Copy row_no from AP data dump and paste it between Bill to customer name and Sales Org
• Save this file as AP Data Upload Q1[present quarter] 2526[present year] May-28[present month-date] in today’s folder
• Go to CDMS login page
• Enter "User Name" and "Password"
• Go to Select Data Table and select AP SI from dropdown
• Click on Choose a File
• Select the AP Data Dump file Q1[present quarter] 2526[present year] May-28[present month-date] from its path
• Click Upload

B. Process Steps (System Navigation)

• Go to CoData (https://codata.lenovo.com/fe/#/login?hash=/homePage) in internet browser and Click on “Login” button.

  

• Click on AP IO-PCSD Order Detail

  

• Click on AP Order Detail

  

• Check refresh date (Date as of) as Yesterday Date and No. of Rows(Total data lines).

  

• Right click on data and select Download As

  

• Click on Data option

• Click on Click here to download your data file

• Go to CDMS login page (https://cdms.lenovo.com/DCSDM/) and Enter "User Name"and "Password"

• Go to "Select Data Table" and Select "AP SI" from dropdown

• Click on Choose a File

• Click on Upload
• Go to server and paste AP data dump in D:\Shiva QV Train\AP Data Input
• Delete AP Data and rename AP data dump as AP Data
• Go to D:\Shiva QV Train and run AP Data - v6qw

C. MTM Master File Update

• Check the number of lines and volume, compare it with CO data numbers if they are same check if there are any #N/A exception in MTM, go to MTM exception select #N/A in brands
• Now right click on Mtm exception table and send to excel
• Now map the mtm to specific brands based on description
• If description is not there use MMBE Tcode in SAP and extract data of specifications from MTM and then map them
• Now add 3 columns between family and brands and copy and paste mtm column next to mtm column
• Now open MTM master from D:\Shiva QV Train\AP Data Input, paste the altered data extracted from qw and save the file
• Now run AP Data - v6 qw once again all #N/A will be cleared
• Now open CDMS and login and select MTM Master from drop down menu and upload the file from the path and click on upload

D. On Demand

• After upload, open On Demand QW from D:\i-Rainbow\DATA MART DOWNLOAD
• Run the QW and check updated numbers
• AP data should show yesterday + today lines
• Close and save QW

E. Coverage, DDB, Revenue Flash and SMB OL

• Now open Coverage_Orderload_AP -V6 use this - Shiva from C:\i-Rainbow\SETUP\RELATIONSHIP and open OVERALL_CVG validation and run the qw
• Check if the numbers are matching from AP Data if yes then generate Overall coverage,orderload and consumer and tablet coverage from respective tabs
• Now open ICRD Melvin - WIP - Test-v2 with Growth % v7 Corrected.qvw from C:\i-Rainbow and run the qw and click on send new mail(need to change ddb to +2 on Tuesday and -1 on Thursday)
• Now open INDIAOPS_Shiva.qvw from C:\i-Rainbow\SETUP\REPORTS QVW\SHIVA and run and later on click on send mail
• Now open SMB New reports.qvw from C:\i-Rainbow\SETUP\REGIONAL OPS and run and later on click on send mail.

1.14 Output Overview

• The AP Data process produces a clean, validated, and segment-mapped dataset containing orders, billings, shipments, customer segments, and product classifications. The final output is the AP Data Upload file, which is uploaded into CDMS to refresh dashboards and reporting systems. This processed data feeds Coverage, Orderload, Sell-In, DDB, and Revenue Flash reports, ensuring accurate visibility of business performance. It also supports downstream QlikView applications and enables reliable decision-making across Consumer, Commercial, and SMB business units.

1.15 Validation Checklist

• The number of lines and volume from QlikSense should match in AP Data file and the same should reflect in the coverage and AP Data V6 QW.
