1.1 Purpose
The purpose of this process is to update, validate, and refresh the BFPSD (Backlog–Finished Product Supply & Distribution) data for Lenovo India. This ensures that the daily backlog PSD information is accurately maintained, processed through QlikView, and aligned with the Stock Report for downstream reporting and analysis.
1.2 Scope

- Process Frequency: Daily
- Updating daily BFPSD files and uploading them to the appropriate servers.
- Running BFPSD QV applications and validating line counts.
- Executing required macros in the Stock Report QVW file to complete the daily BFPSD processing.
1.3 Business/Segment Overview
The BFPSD process supports Lenovo’s supply chain and backlog management by ensuring timely updates of backlog PSD data. This information helps track finished goods distribution, pending orders, and stock alignment across plants and business segments. It forms a critical input to Lenovo India’s daily operational reporting, enabling visibility into product flow and backlog health.

The BFPSD is structured around a daily flow to ensure timely data validation.

1.13 Steps of Procedure:
- Open today BFPSD File
- Then go server and paste today data.
- Then go to D:\irainbow
- Go to backlog PSD.
- Open the file delete yesterday data and Paste today data and copy the format.
- Then run the BFPSD Qv.
- Check the Number of lines.
- Then go to c:\irainbow
- Now run Stock Report_Shiva all v2 Sample.qvw from path: C:\Users\Reports GSCSI\Desktop\Stock Report Sample
- Go to BFPSD Sheet,check number of lines and then run macros.
1.14 Output Overview:
The BFPSD process generates an updated and validated daily backlog PSD file that reflects the latest finished goods distribution and pending order status. After refreshing data in i-Rainbow and running the BFPSD QV, the final output includes accurate line counts, cleaned backlog entries, and integrated stock alignment through the Stock Report macros. This processed BFPSD file supports Lenovo’s daily operational reporting, ensuring consistent visibility into backlog health and product movement. (Add the snapshot)
