1.1 Purpose

The purpose of the SMB WOI Weekly Report is to provide a weekly overview of SMB sell-thru and opening inventory levels, monitor stock-on-hand and inventory movement across distributors and product categories, enable inventory health tracking using eight-week average sell-thru metrics, and support MIS and management teams with accurate and timely inventory analytics.

1.3 Business/Segment Overview

The SMB WOI Weekly Report process focuses on analyzing and reporting SMB sell-thru performance and opening inventory position across T1 distributors for Lenovo India. On a weekly basis, sell-thru data, distributor ageing reports, and inventory details are consolidated using a standardized WOI template. The process calculates weekly average sell-thru for the last eight weeks, updates stock-on-hand positions and presents distributor-wise and category-wise insights to support inventory monitoring and operational review.

1.10 Process Description

  • 1.10.1 Start
  • 1.10.2 Open SMB WOI Template.
  • 1.10.3 Go to Weekly Sell Thru (8 Weeks) column and change reference formula for 8 weeks till previous week.

Process Description

- Say if report is for week 7 then, Weekly Sell Thru (8 Weeks) should have sum of data from (Wk N-13 till Wk N-07)/8 where 8 is for average of last 8 weeks.
  • 1.10.4 Drag & update the formula for all Weekly Sell Thru (8 Weeks) formulas.
  • 1.10.5 Open SMB T1 Ageing report.
  • 1.10.6 Go to Disty column and rationalize the T1 names i.e., if there are two different names like Rashi and Rashi SB, rationalize it to one name. Similarly, with all T1s.
  • 1.10.7 Make a pivot as below.
    • Filter: DSR Type (MM/SM)
    • Row: Disty and Category
    • Value SOH Volume
    • Filter Disty type with MM and category with only Desktop/DSK, MOB and Workstation

  • 1.10.8 Go to SMB WOI Template.
  • 1.10.9 Paste Disty wise and category wise SOH Volume (Stock On Hand) in On Hand Inventory of WOI template.
  • 1.10.10 Similarly, with SM.
  • 1.10.11 Open SMB ST DSR (Present Date).
  • 1.10.12 Go to Disty column and rationalize the T1 names i.e., if there are two different names like Rashi and Rashi SB, rationalize it to one name. Similarly, with all T1s.
  • 1.10.13 Go to Week column and change week5a and week5b as week5 and similarly week9a and week9b.
  • 1.10.14 Make a pivot as below.
    • Filter: DSR Type (MM/SM)
    • Row: Disty and Category
    • Value CA
    • Column: Week (filter only till previous week)
    • Filter Disty type with SM and category with only Desktop/DSK, MOB and Workstation

  • 1.10.15 Go to SMB WOI Template.
  • 1.10.16 Paste Disty wise, category wise and week wise data. Similarly, with MM.
  • 1.10.17 Share it to Marlene as per below format.
